Pool Safety Inspection on Sunshine Coast

Swimming in pools is a great Australia pastime and something that everyone should be able to enjoy. However, statistics show that the leading cause of death in Queensland children aged one to four years is drowning. There are many ways to keep your kids safe in the pool; first of all supervision is very important as is teaching kids to swim at a young age.

Recently, new pool safety laws have been introduced which will make pool fencing more effective and help keep pools a safe and fun place. These new laws affect both owners of existing pools and those building new pools.

Because of this the Queensland Government has introduced new pool fencing laws to try and reduce the number of drowning deaths by increasing the effectiveness of fence barriers so that the family pool can remain a safe place. These laws affect home owners with existing pools, those building new pools, resorts and complex pools.

If you have an existing pool then you will need to make sure your pool fence complies with the new laws by 30 November 2015 by getting a qualified pool inspector to provide you with a Pool Safety Certificate.
